As a member of the GSA Library you have access to two libraries:
The Main Library houses our lending stock, along with our journals collection from 1984 onwards. The Main Library also provides access to the Computer Centre and photocopying facilities.
The Main Library is located in the Bourdon Building on the corner of Scott Street and Renfrew Street. It's very clearly marked - just look out for the large blue and white Library and Computer Centre sign over the door.
The Main Library is open as follows:
The Mackintosh Library houses our reference collection of older and rarer stock, along with our pre-1985 journals. It also houses publications on and by the School's staff and students, both past and present, along with an extensive collection of artists' books. Rare and archival items, including periodicals dating back to the early 19th century, hand-painted Japanese books, and publications about Charles Rennie Mackintosh are also housed here.
The Mackintosh Library is open for an hour each day between 11.00 - 12.00 during term time, on a reference only basis.
Items cannot be borrowed. If you need to consult items from the Mackintosh Library in the Main Library, simply provide details of the item at the Library Service Desk. Your requested items will be available in the Main Library from 12.00 the following day.
The Library is located on the first floor of the Mackintosh Building at the far western end.
