Other Libraries

The GSA Library contains one of the UK's best collections of art, design and architecture material. But there will inevitably be times when you will wish to supplement our collections by visiting other libraries, especially if you are involved in inter-disciplinary studies or research.

Depending on your level of study, there are a variety of access arrangements that can gain you access to other libraries in Glasgow and the UK.

To discover the other libraries you are able to access, choose your reader category below.

BEFORE YOU GO

>> Check each library's website for opening hours before you make your trip.

>> Search each library's catalogue online to check if they hold what you are looking for and to find out where it is located.

>> Check to see if the material you want to consult is held in a special collection that needs to be requested in advance.

>> Remember that often you will not have access to reserve collections such as short loan or reading list collections.

>> Nor will you have access to computing facilities or online resources.

>> Contact the library you want to visit to check access arrangements, especially if you will be making a long journey.

>> Always take your GSA matriculation card with you, along with your SCONUL Access card if you have one.
