The Library supports essays and project work by providing students with a short loan collection of heavily-used books and other materials. Tutors will compile a reading list and identify items to be kept behind the Library Service Desk. This ensures that all students have equal access for the duration of the essay or project.

The Library Catalogue will identify these items as ‘Reading List’.

To access a reading list book, take a note of its title and shelfmark, and staff at the Library Service Desk will fetch it for you. All reading list items are reference only within the Library and cannot be borrowed, though a maximum of 2 items can be consulted at any one time.
